EXIF digital-photo files can tell you everything about the camera’s settings, exposure, aperture, focal length, ISO, even the GPS data.

None of which is there when you take an analogue shot. It’s ‘just’ the photo.

The LEICA M6 is inconspicuous, unobtrusive. Ideal for those spontaneous shots. Perfect for moments without particular bearing, those random, chance moments, life as we see it, warts and all.

Black-and-white-photographs are considered commercially ‘unviable’. Such a colour-centric view is to miss the point of the monochrome format. They are a priceless chronicle, their sole purpose, a record of that moment. They simply exist, nothing more, nothing less.
